However, the ministry said the evidence presented by convict Natcha Thongyoi's family was incomplete. Natcha, a former Spring News reporter, has already served five months behind bars at the Prachuap Khiri Khan provincial courthouse. The lower court sentenced her to six years and eight months in jail and the Appeal Court later reduced the sentence to two years without a suspended jail term. Mr Surakrai said that on Jan 4, 2013, his elder brother, Suchart Thongyoi, had a heated argument with a relative over a land dispute. The case against Natcha reached the Appeal Court which upheld the charge against her, but reduced the sentence.
